It's a strength he had been unprepared for, and he grits his teeth as the pain blooms and travels down his entire arm, chest, the side of his neck. He doesn't even have the time to recoil before she's tossing him against a wall, and the force in which he hits it with his backside knocks the breath out of him while his already injured shoulder seizes in protest at the immediate follow-up mistreatment.
