[OOC: Ryu will be held in a storehouse outside Venera from the end of day 7 through the beginning of day 9 when he's getting rescued by Estinien. Cw for slight police misconduct/abuse mention in the third paragraph.]
Ryunosuke is no stranger to captivity. Twice in his life he’s been locked up under suspicion of criminal activity, and both instances account for what he can and will readily describe as nothing less than the very worst experiences of his entire life.
That was before Horos, mind. It’s only his third month in this world, but he’s already experienced so many awful things to give being wrongfully accused of murder some stiff competition on the whole ‘worst life experiences’ scale.
And yet, nothing has actually managed to surpass it yet: the loneliness and despair of being singled out for a heinous crime he had no actual part in? Being shouted at and interrogated by the police and officials who refused to believe him, no matter how much he tried to beg and plead his innocence. Spending days cooped up in a tiny cell, uncertain of his own future, monitored by guards who would seize any opportunity to call him scum and remind him, in no uncertain terms, that his guilt was a foregone conclusion. He was already a criminal in their eyes, and deserved to be treated as such, before he’d even gone to trial.
At least this time, he’s being locked up for something he actually did; that’s a nice change of pace, he supposes.
That’s kind of where the silver linings end, though. He can only hope the Venerans he was protecting have made it the rest of the way to safety by now… Everything else about his situation beyond that, is fairly dire. He’s not sure why the Kenoma brought him out to this weird storehouse instead of locking him up in the actual prison where the rebel Venerans have been getting dragged off to, but whatever the reasoning is, Ryunosuke is sure it doesn’t bode well.
So... What's going to happen to him now? He can't reach his shard to call for help, he has no means of getting out of these ropes... Are they going to take him back to Achamoth? There’s little he can do but speculate. Speculate, and observe from his spot on the floor, where he’s been tied up against a sturdy pillar ever since Kaeya first dragged him back here.
Whatever the case, he seems to be in no mood to entertain visitors. His expression is grim, and, if you’ve talked to him at all before now, seems uncharacteristically unfriendly. He definitely shows signs of having been in a fight recently, sporting a few scrapes and bruises, and has his left arm wrapped up in bandages.
Over all, he seems to try not to engage with or even acknowledge the parade of Kenoma who come through to keep an eye on him, but… Well, there’s nothing stopping YOU from trying to strike up a conversation with him anyway, if you want. It’s not like he can get away :/ It’s either that, or you might catch him looking at you reeeeal hard when he thinks you’re not paying attention... Like he’s trying to stare through you with those big ol’ eyes of his, the tip of his new scale-clad tail flicking up and down like an irritable cat’s.
[OOC again; prose or brackets both fine, I'll match whatever you like. If you feel like your character would take the opportunity to physically mess him up in some way, I'm potentially open to it...! Just lmk so we can work out the details.]
