I: The first day

It had been a long time coming. The tiny girl had been held back for so very long. She'd been forced to follow rules that weren't her style, forced to make nice with people she didn't care about, and it had been having an effect on her. Her edge had begun to dull. Too many foolish parties and useless conversations had been making her slowly forget what she was: a demon.

But then came the decree. All the bitterness and disdain towards the world bubbled forth the moment the Regent declared their intent to cleanse the 'traitors' from Venera. It was the sort of command she was used to, the sort she was good at carrying out, and one that did not make her feel even the slightest bit of apprehension.

She is, however, not used to showing discretion. In the past, she would simply wipe the offending city out of existence entirely, stripping it clean of life and leaving nothing behind but a burning husk. To pick through so many people for so few was maddeningly frustrating. This was likely why the girl's methods were so crudely refined.

Somehow, the girl had cornered a man much taller then her. Standing almost 2 feet taller then she did, it was almost comical to see him cowering from her, but the girl had her shard openly displayed, so he knew just what was speaking with him. "There really is no reason for you to keep pretending you don't know who I am talking about. One way or another I'm going to find him. Are you some sort of idiot that wants to get marked a traitor, too? I'm not supposed to kill you....yet, at least." If her little challenge in the Regent's mindscape had not made her allegiance obvious, her actions certainly did.

II: Downtime on the Third Day

It was very obvious that the owner of the establishment she was at was not pleased with her presence. Two full days of attempting to hunt down a traitor had given her enough leads to work with. She'd been working with a focus unlike her. The reason was simple. She wanted to make her 'master' proud. But she still had needs, and now that need was for a warm meal. That was why she could be found seated at a small restaurant, sitting at an outdoor table looking out onto the streets. She had caused no trouble for anyone there, but word had spread about the tiny Aion, and that she seemed as intent on finding certain people just like many of the others that had suddenly appeared in the city. What few people were around were giving her a wide berth.

III: The Fourth Day: Target Found

All her threats, veiled and otherwise, had finally paid off. She'd tracked one of the targets down, catching the poor man in an attempt to flee from his hiding place in a warehouse that had been storing art supplies. The man, looking to be in his late 20s to early 30s, hadn't stuck around long enough to find out what she'd wanted. The rumors had reached his ears, he knew what was going to happen if he was caught. And so he ran. A cross look touches the girl's face. "Don't even bother!" With a gesture of one hand, the man suddenly seems to stumble in his retreat. It isn't even obvious what she'd done, but the man's scared cries give a hint. "M...m..my body, why does it feel so heavy? I....no, I don't deserve this! I...I...I ...."

His stuttering is interrupted by the girl, sounding irritated as if she was insulted even having to listen o it.. "Quiet, traitor. You'll be put on trial for your crimes soon enough." A wild grin touches her face. "If you're as innocent as you say, you'll be allowed to go home once that has been prove. So, you have nothing to fear, right? That is, unless you're LYING to me!"

IV: Day Five : The inevitable result

It was no coincidence that the demon picked a public place to carry out her duty. Her captive had been taken to a residential sector. She had noticed fewer and fewer people on the streets. But if it happened near their homes, they would not be able to ignore it. The man is dressed in a ragged robe and looks positively haggard. Any fight he may have had in him seems to have died.

The demon herself, however, is dressed remarkably fancy. Forgoing her normal attire, she has opted to wear the fancy dress she had only worn once before, a black dress that was all frills and ribbons. Clearly she wanted to look good while doing her duty. At her wait was a sheathed dagger. "Attention, citizens of Venera! You cower in your homes, but I know you hear my voice. This man, Alott Garus, has been found guilty of treason against our noble ruler. All that they demand is obedience, but it seems that for some of you even that role is too difficult to carry out. Thus I, Death Witch Majorita, shall reap his pitiful life. Let his end serve as an example so this does not need to happen again in the future!"

With a swift motion, she pulls the blade from it's sheath and begins to move towards the man. He seems resolved, or perhaps has simply accepted his fate, because he barely seems to even notice the girl approaching him with the intent of ending his life.
