Instead, he pivots and slams it towards his captive, the dull handle hitting temple with enough force to send them stumbling down onto their knees, disoriented and in pain. With any luck, that should keep them in place for the duration of this (hopefully not that long) fight.
With that necessity taken care of, he turns back to Dex, staying right where he is and pulling out a second dagger, one now for each hand.
