It's somewhat hard to tell, with the blinding light and oppressive purifying atmosphere emanating off the creature. But as soon as Howl spies that Kaeya's icy lance found its mark, he veers tightly in anticipation of a possible counterattack or retaliation.

But the Sanctifier does not snap or claw at him. No, its response is far beyond anything Howl could have anticipated. Hearing it speak in Estinien's voice is a uniquely psychological assault, sending a tidal wave of shock and disbelief through Howl's mind and soul.

"NO," Howl growls to himself. You better be holding on tight, Kaeya — the wizard maneuvers tightly again, now trying even harder to put some distance between himself and this terrifying being. "IMPOSSIBLE."
