There's no time to let panic overtake him because his instincts have already kicked into high gear, making him beeline straight for Amos and Misa to put himself in between the way. One look at the other man is enough to tell him he's practically an unstoppable force right now, but then the empathic bond they share because of their legacy is what gives him the full picture: rage. He isn't the first one to intervene, luckily enough. Gen strikes Amos and attempts to slow him down by making the ground collapse underneath him. He lends his aid by freezing the immediate area around Amos, frost creeping up his legs in order to keep him trapped in that trench. Just like Gen, he knows that this isn't going to hold him for long, but it's precious time bought nonetheless.
