[Vader had expected to see this man near the pyre, defending the ambitions of his master like the cultist he had seemed. Defending the vanguard from a zealot would be as public an opportunity to demonstrate his power as any, and Amos in particular had annoyed him. The information offered by the communion had provided vanishingly little of interest, and certainly no insight into how the man actually fought but Vader was confident he could deal with the man. That should give his fellows the opportunity needed to save the two captives.
His cloak billowing, his boots crunching on the streets of Achamoth he marched out of a cloud of dust kicked up by some of the fighting. His hand raised, the sword Hiccup had forged for him rattled in its sheath and flew into his grip, leveled across the square between them at the big man.
His voice cut through the sounds of fighting, as calm and clipped as ever.]
