[ Akua has spent the last years in battle with the Dead King, an undead Named of such great power that he tipped the scales against Evil so greatly that even in her age, they were still fighting the effects. What that meant was, that by habit, she kept her defenses the same. It was reflex at this point -- taught by watching The Hawk launch arrows from a mile or more away, accurate and deadly enough that she had surprised and killed plenty across the battlefield -- even killed Catherine, had it not been for the Titan's song, and the reversal of time.
What that meant, of course, was that Akua's shielding spells -- they covered her entire body, and the moment something pierced it -- her guard up at this...being with eyes alight, the spell was already hardened. A barrier that would not be penetrated by the knife -- or at least slowed it enough gave it a manner of resistance that with the blink of an eye, Sebastian would find a rush of air powerful enough to fling his arm away. She took a few steps back -- another guest to send her back just out of reach -- and her lips pursed, watching the being in front of her. A knife. Huh. He was fast though.
She shouldn't be fighting physically. That was dangerous, but she would do it if she must. As much as Jayce had asked her to have a buddy... there would need to be more of their companions, before she could manage pulling one away to be her physical companion in a fight. ]
Well now, I normally don't accept stabbings as introductions. Perhaps you would share your name?
[ Her eyes could see this thing. Kenoma, lower than her. Celebrant. There was something else -- not gifted from her sight from the Pleroma. Something...
She wasn't sure yet. The red of his eyes was something familiar enough, but she couldn't guess. Not guess and be wrong, anyway. ]
I am Akua Sahelian. It's normally polite to introduce oneself before a fight, dear. Have the Kenoma truly lost all their manners?
