1.) Creatures like elementals do exist though they don't have a physical form. She will be able to communicate with them as she normally would without the Mesi. With the Mesi, they may be louder or she may hear many at once. Since they are forces of nature they have no real goal other than to fulfill aspects of their element. Water would want things to be wet or make it rain, etc.
2.) There are more gentle dinosaurs but it would not be recommended to go pet a wild one. There are some breeds/species that the resistance has used (more information to come with the bestiary) in their battles against the Regent.
3.) Yes, she could enlist a local carpenter to help make a new cane if she provides materials and assistance.
4.) They would welcome her assistance and be curious if she has any suggestions about flavors or spice mixtures since she is an Aion. If she helps make something unique it may be featured as a special dish this year as a way to celebrate the return of Aions to the forest.
