The struggle mostly comes from the fact that Kaeya is beginning to feel an odd sense of peace creep up on him, as if telling him that he shouldn't really be worrying too much about what's happening. He has a reason for why he he's attempting to contact Emet-Selch, but oddly enough, he can't seem to remember what it is now.

That's the general sense the other man on the other side of the line will be able to glean from Kaeya once their connection finally becomes much clearer.
