In the same vein that it's true to form that Emet-Selch would have stayed behind, to coordinate from afar, it's also true that Silco would not be willing to put himself into the heat of the event so readily. After all, the rumors drifting out of Venera suggested that the people there were acting odd, and sick, just like some of the reports from other cities.

Silco wasn't about to go hang around with sick people. Leave that to the healers, or physicians.

"Ah, I suppose I'm not the only one here, then," he said, his tone clipped, and a little bored. "Yes, I thought it would be more useful to skulk in the library, while the rest of them scuttle about with their feet on the ground."
