[For a moment, Liem just frowns in Gen’s direction with a slightly mystified expression. It’s not immediately obvious to him what is so fantastical about coming from a world with vampires (or magic, or any monsters at all, apparently). He may as well have suggested that the world he came from didn’t have any animals any larger or more vicious than golden retrievers. The idea of a planet not populated by zombies or dire bats or man-eating plants sounds outright bizarre.
He does at least seem to know what some of those things are though—enough that he’s keen on drilling down on the most shameful aspect of Liem’s background, even if all of his vampire knowledge is apparently from moving-picture scrolls. Liem’s bewildered frown slowly fades into a deliberate blank look. He breathes a small sigh.]
