[ scars can tell a whole lot about a person. a few of the ones on amos speak of old stories, roughed up and smoothened over by time, but then there are others who look more recent. it doesn't take many guesses to know where they came from. kaeya can only hope that they'll heal once given enough time, and because he's lingered out here without saying anything long enough, his smile brightens just a tad.

he has scars of his own too, but they're all covered up by the plain shirt he wears that's buttoned up completely, leaving none exposed. his trousers are the only thing that are reminiscent of his usual tastes, tight as always, clean lines and a sleek silhoutte. once amos has given him permission, he walks after the other man and sets down what he brought over on the small table.

... I happened to have an extra bottle of alcohol that I wouldn't be able to finish on my own, so I thought I could share, if you're up for it.

[ it's equal parts a lie and a truth. while it's true that he did have an extra bottle lying around, why he came over isn't just because he wanted to share it with amos. no, there's the part of him that would rather not be left on his own for now, especially considering how much he's avoided people ever since they've been called back from venera.

he could also say that he wanted to see how amos is doing, but he chooses not to in the end.

time to pop it open and fill up their glasses. ]
