A small quarrel like this won’t fly accurately for as far as an arrow from the kind of longbow I prefer, so it isn’t as good for using in open areas. I tend to use a longbow when I’m hunting.
But in urban environments, the extra range isn’t necessary. The crossbow is also more compact, making it a little less unwieldy. I could use it while crouching or even lying down if I needed to.
