[open] some Kenoma come up to Godsblood the other day...
WHO: Amos, Gen, Eustace, Childe, any Pleroma
WHAT: Amos wants a gun, Eustace wants to make a portal, and in order to make it happen they go to...
WHERE: Godsblood.
WHEN: Towards the end of Visoseri/start of Soviseri
WARNINGS: None, unless you count bullying of various Pleroma; will add as necessary
The content of this entry is intended to be an OOC explanation of what's going on to keep everyone up to speed; any characters who may be in Godsblood during this time period are free to top level or tag out. This is not an event and simply a unique instance that some characters are kinda sorta technically in enemy territory, which opens itself up to thread opportunities that would not otherwise be possible.
Basically: four Kenoma are journeying up to Godsblood, albeit not all together and through different means.
Amos and Gen will be arriving via a boat directly from Achamoth, and accordingly, will be outed as Kenoma Aions right from the get-go — the populace should know who they are, and word of their arrival would likely get around. Amos is there because he wants to build a higher quality gun than what they have in Achamoth and Godsblood is the place to do it; Gen is there to serve as backup/moral support/because they're friends, okay. Story plotting link here for more details.
Eustace and Childe will be sneaking in via carriage from the Artisan shrine/a portal and will therefore not be known as Kenoma Aions upon entry to Godsblood — unless there are characters there who already know who they are, that is. Eustace is setting up a portal to facilitate travel between Achamoth and Godsblood. This is not public knowledge and non-Kenoma Aions/NPCs are unlikely to know about this. Story plotting link here for more details.
The mods have also provided some guidelines for how interactions could go between characters so that any Pleroma wouldn't necessarily have to out themselves as Aions when it comes to interacting with Amos or Gen, who are publicly declared as such. Highlighting what was said further down in Amos' plotting comment:

Highlighting what was said further down in Amos' plotting comment:
It wouldn't be unreasonable for a visiting Aion to be chatting up people within Godsblood so sharing a meal ... wouldn't be a dead give away, but it might tie them to the Aions on the rumor network if they do it in public. Whether they are just strangers Gen and Amos are dining with or whether they are connected to Achamoth won't be clear, but it would definitely have implications ... It's definitely a risk, at any rate.
As for meeting in a busy street or a public park the connection is still possible but a lot less likely, since the odds of them chatting up some rando in the park is a lot more likely than sitting down for dinner with them. It'd also be a lot more obvious if someone was spying on them, unlike a closed environment like a pub or eatery, so that'd probably be the safest option without going somewhere deserted or private.

He's definitely gotten the sense that he's slowly killing him on the inside, though. So as Ryunosuke relents, Amos follows suit, removing his hand entirely and using it to gesture in the space between them; great, lead the way. ]
Don't think you gotta worry about that. I'm pretty easy when it comes to food. [ And how, though now he's just being jovial, with a pleasant little smile to match. ] You don't got anything to be nervous about, you know? We're just going for a bite to eat. This is the least I can do.
[ The least he could actually do would be to leave Ryunosuke alone, but... nah. Not yet. Just in case it turns out there's something valuable here after all. ]

[Of course it is. Even back home, no one could resist dunking on him for his inability to rein in his wide-eyed stares of alarm. Fortunately, as they start walking, he's starting to get it together a bit more, adapting to the stress; being in motion helps somewhat, even if part of him still wants to bolt like a nervous horse.]
Sorry... It's just, you're visiting from Achamoth, right? We don't often get visitors coming in from that part of Horos, especially not anyone with an important bearing such as yourself. It's... A little intimidating, if I'm being completely honest. N-no offense intended, of course!
no subject
[ And it's something he is genuinely confused about, the way almost everyone in Godsblood seems to react to him. Ryunosuke isn't the only one who's been nervous around him, although he has more reason than the average citizen here. But for as aware as Amos is of the dynamic between Achamoth and Godsblood, he really is just some guy, as far as he's concerned.
Some guy who has a bit of clout and is willing to throw it around, but nothing more than that. And who hasn't had to deal with someone like that? So all the anxiety just feels out of place to him. ]
You got no reason to be intimidated, you know? Unless you're hiding something. [ Just a joke among friends... It's delivered that way, at least. It's even half-true, the other half being the part where like, c'mon, man, say something stupid and revealing already.
But Amos is content to push past it after a beat, remaining perfectly amiable. ] I still gotta eat, just like anyone else.

[Said like it's an awkward joke. He doesn't buy into the very sentiment he's pitching, because he personally tends to be a pretty open book, typically? Again, the whole sneaking and dishonesty thing is a pretty new and trying challenge for him. It's more like he's joking to reassure himself that this particular deception is alright to maintain.
He tries to move on from Lies and the topic of whether or not he's hiding anything by changing the subject with more small talk:]
So... Um. What brings you up here to Godsblood, anyway?
[The squid stand he's thinking of isn't too far from the guild at least, so it won't take them long to walk there at all. Around the corner, down some steps... they have to descend a bit closer to sea level, to find the best seafood. The closer to the docks, the fresher the catch, right? That's Ryunosuke's theory, anyway.]

And he's more than content to buy into the smalltalk — worst case scenario, he's killing a bit of time; best case, he gets a Pleroma to slip up with something. The latter is preferable, but both are fine, really. ]
Just got a project I'm working on.
[ ... Real descriptive, huh. It's the truth though.
Amos marvels as they enter the area where the seafood's really going. He's been along the docks before; both on Horos and back in Baltimore, except... ]
Shit, they really just get it right out of the water, huh? I grew up somewhere like this, but the water was too fucked to really eat anything out of it.
[ He already approves. ]

He glances curiously at Amos at the exclamation, eyebrows slightly raised.]
You mean back in your own world? [a beat, and then his brow furrows oddly as something belatedly hits him.] ...W-wait. Sorry, did you just say the water was... f.... 'fucked'?
[He's familiar with the F-word, and the Horosian equivalent of it that they all miraculously know now. But he's uh, pretty sure he's never heard it used like that before? What does that MEAN]
no subject
Yeah. You know, polluted, unsanitary, not the kind of thing you'd want to end up in so probably not the kind of thing you'd want to eat anything out of. Fucked.
[ It's such a versatile word, such a regular part of his vocabulary, blunt as he is. Fucked really is an excellent descriptor most of the time... except apparently here.
He can even kinda ignore the telltale Pleroma clinging to Ryunosuke's shard in the moment, just because this got weird out of nowhere. ]

[He wasn't aware you could just apply that word so broadly to. Uh. Things? Like a body of water. Seeing as he rarely swears, he hasn't devoted a lot of time to learning the parlance of cuss words.
He also supposes he really wouldn't want to eat anything that'd been fished out of the Thames, either, although he's well aware some native Londoners do... His revulsion is less because he understands what pollution is and more just because it smells. It is a stinky, stinky river.
...Anyway. He keeps leading on a little further, until they come upon the stand in question. It's a basic street food setup, a small prep space with a grill and a whole bunch of raw squid on ice stacked behind the stand.
The Bloodite running the joint is a middle aged woman with a broad, muscular build. Her hands are calloused, her skin tanned and marked with scars and nautical themed tattoos that speak to years of experience earned hauling in catches off the coast of Godsblood.
She twitches her huge rabbit-like ears at their approach; she doesn't smile, but she does nod in acknowledgement at Ryunosuke.
'Ahoy there, Naruhodo.']
Good afternoon, Miss Hosni. Uh, good business today, I hope?
['Aye, good enough... You've long missed the lunch rush.' Hosni sniffs and looks kind of suspiciously past Ryunosuke and at Amos, one eyebrow going up slightly.
'Who's yer friend?'
She probably knows, owing to the official capacity of Amos's visit, but apparently she's going to make him introduce himself anyway.]

Amos is content to keep going along in silence, eyes lighting up as their destination becomes obvious. It may be basic, but it's real, organic food, and that's more than enough for him. He's looking forward to this. He stands back as Hosni and Ryunosuke exchange their greetings, paying no mind to the suspicious gaze he gets from her. ]
Just an out-of-towner getting a food recommendation from a friend. [ At that, Amos casually slings his arm over Ryunosuke's shoulders. See, they're friends, right? He knows he's being a dick, and he knows Hosni almost certainly knows who he actually is; he just doesn't really care. ] Naruhodo — [ thank you, ma'am — ] says this is the best grilled squid in town, so I had to come try some for myself.
[ He looks up at her, empty smile on his face. Just a regular tourist with cash to spend, nothing notable here at all. ]
