Don't worry, you're not alone
WHO: Eleven + Abel
WHEN: Day after TDM shenanigans
WHERE: Godsblood
WHAT: Bros on a platonic date get drinks
WARNINGS: alcohol? tba
[It's a nice town, Eleven decides as Abel shows him around various parts of it. The forges and smithy shops pique his interest with a renewed curiosity and simmer of excitement. Surely they must get their ore from somewhere and Eleven casts a speculative eye over the distant shape of mountains.
He'd ask tomorrow. For now, they're headed to a bar and on a stomach comfortably full of Greentruth's well-seasoned fare, a drink sounds a touch more satisfying than the promise of a sword in the moment.
And it's nice- for the first time in weeks, since the cave- to feel like he's made a good friend he can rely on.
Eleven tosses a smile to Abel as they grab their drinks and settle at a table]
It's a productive town, if only a touch less tense than I'd imagined. I hope the others fare well here.

perhaps barely for some - but they live to tell the tale of it nonetheless.
for any number of those reasons, Abel is quite gladdened for a nice change of pace - and the chance to sit down with someone to whom he's taken quite a liking. Eleven is a calm and rather steady, reliable fellow; their backgrounds could not be more different in most ways, and yet... mayhaps that's part of the reason Abel finds him intriguing. interesting. it's also a great boon that despite vastly different worlds and their respective places among them, they see eye-to-eye on some of the most important moral quandaries the Pleroma face.
but those serious topics can come up in due time; right now? Abel is investigating his glass of local ale with interest-- before waving a hand dismissively across the table. ]
Now, Mr. Eleven... some folk are suited to city life. And some undoubtedly belong back in more-- rural areas, mm? [ he'll refrain from mentioning Greentruth by name - at least in public. ] The fact we have both means we're quite lucky, I think. If you're not suited to one, there's always the other now we can head back and forth without much trouble, mm? But why do I get the feeling you'll inevitably prefer camping to spending your days and nights out here...

Just Eleven- we've been through enough now, I think.
[The cave, Emet, and everything between.
Eleven takes an experimental sip of ale, then nods approval] But you're right; I do enjoy the woodland. I'm hoping our new companions will find their way as well.

It's a bit... strange, right? We've been away from home for quite a while now, Eleven.
[ months, now. ]
Do you find yourself settling in at all? Do you want to settle in, or is it more about simply making due for now?

I.. like where I'm at now. Of course I need to get back to Erdrea, but if I can help save this world before darkness claims it, then.. Well, maybe I'll have the strength and wisdom to do what I need to to save mine.

[ ... ]
Is your world in danger, back at home?

Yggdrasil fell. Darkness rules Erdrea now.
[Eleven forces a brief smile, unwilling to dampen their outing with all the heaviness of that reality]
But maybe I can prevent that from happening here.

[ suppose it's inevitable his face falls a bit considering the topic, but. ]
Maybe what you learn here can help you when we get back to where we belong, right? Or we can find a way. Make one, if there isn't one already?
