A cure had been discovered in the passing hours, but so has the revelation that certain carriers amplify the sickness. They needed to find those sources and be rid of them if there is any hope to quell the illness once and for all.
Since there is no tried and true method for finding them, the most they could do is wander the city and search. Given the lethargy that they exhibited it would only be a matter of time before they were found.
Emet-Selch continues the search until he happens upon... someone. It takes a moment of observation to recognize who it is given the abhorrent arrangement of wings that protrude from where they should not be. When he finally does make the connection of who it is, Emet-Selch sighs out loud. Of course it is Gen. "Are you quite incapable of staying out of trouble?" He calls.
