WHO: Misa & co.
WHAT: event aftermath!
WHERE: Achamoth, tiny smidge of Godsblood
WHEN: late Soviseri, early Firaseri
WARNINGS: will add if applicable!
I. early return (citadel, misa's room)
[ The return to Achamoth is, ironically, uneventful.
Misa is unconscious for most of it, and when she makes it back to the Citadel, those who see her right when the Godsblood envoy returns will see that she needs the servants' assistance walking to her quarters, and she favors weight far more to her right side. Even still, she doesn't wrap an arm around those who assist her, either, the reason for which is a net of bandages that cover and wrap around the entirety of her right shoulder.
Those who don't witness her directly may still become privy to her weakened state; she doesn't emerge from her quarters for a full day after after the return, which is highly unusual behavior for the outgoing and boisterous Misa, often seen around the Citadel bothering anyone she lays eyes on. Should any other Kenoma try to reach out to her with Communion, or further yet, knock at her door, she'll answer with a tired and irritable: ]
What is it? I'm trying to sleep, here.
II. later return (in the city)
[ When Misa gathers the strength to do more than keep herself contained to the Citadel, the first thing she tries to do is drag other people out with her. It's her number one way of dealing with anything unpleasant in life - to bury it, deeply, beneath something fun and happy and exciting. She's certain she won't be thinking about everything that happened in Godsblood if she spends a little time outdoors with a companion. And luckily, she'll drag just about anyone she knows out with her.
But it's perhaps that over eagerness to go do something to take her mind off things that prompts her to... push herself too fast. While she seems enthusiastic to go outdoors, the fact of the matter is that she's still not wholly herself - her hair remains un-styled, face bare of makeup, due to the lack of mobility in her right arm while it heals. Heavy blood loss in Godsblood has rendered her complexion a little paler than usual, and difficulty moving has rendered her wardrobe much less extravagant and cute than is typical of her outdoors fare.
Not long after she and her trusty out-on-the-town friend have made it away from the Citadel, she suddenly stumbles and slumps heavily in her companion's side in an uncharacteristically awkward fashion. ]
Woah...! I guess I'm still a little woozy.... [ She gives a nervous laugh, clearly trying to play off her dizzy spell— she even tries to reorient herself (with little success, still basically leaning into her Kenopal for support), sticking her tongue out cutely as if she'd just tripped on a rock instead of come close to fainting. ] Gosh, I feel so clumsy.

[ Looks like she has enough energy to sound a little peeved through the door? Though, mostly confused. He did say "good," so does that mean he's checking on her...? ]
There aren't rumors about me being dead, are there?
[ ARE THERE? ]
no subject
[ Pause. ]
I expected to see you in the Citadel sooner.
no subject
[ A tease, slightly lacking in energy, but still definitely there. Enough to notice her presence not being there, enough to come to her room to check on whether or not she was alive. She feels a slight sense of snooty triumph at that, but nothing malicious - just entertainment. As for how things went in Godsblood, well, she feels that's something she'd rather talk about in private: ]
You can open the door, you know. It's not locked.
[ Should he open it, he'll find she was telling the truth; she really is just laying on top of her bed, head and shoulders propped up by an array of fluffy pillows. ]
no subject
If you want to put it like that, fine.
[ His eyes narrow as they fall on her bandages, and he frowns as he closes the door behind him. ]
I suppose I would have been disappointed if you'd died. How close did you come?
no subject
Veeeeery close.
[ She can't even bask in the pure enjoyment she should take out of him basically admitting to the fact that he was worried, because his question reminds her of how aggravating it had been to almost die in the field of battle. ]
Apparently, I almost bled out? I haven't really gotten injured like that before, so it's hard for me to tell... but it seemed very bad.
no subject
Yes, that kind of thing is typically... 'very bad'.
[ For mortal humans, anyway. Not generally for him. But. He steps closer to get a better look. ]
How did this happen, anyway? [ He sounds disapproving. ] Someone with your skills should stay away from danger.
no subject
[ And that's the easiest way she can come up with to describe it to him, as she settles back more against the pillows. At present, she doesn't really have the bandwidth to argue about "someone of her skills" staying away from danger. Besides, the disapproving look, combined with him coming closer to examine the wounds, makes it feel like the assessment (that's been quite common ever since she came to Horos, anyway) comes from a different place than a plain intent to berate her. Since he's looking more closely, he'll see that there's a good amount of gauze wrapped around the circumference of her left thigh, as well as taped to the back of her right shoulder - the evidence of the two wounds in question. ]
My eyesight is much better than a normal human's— someone had to be a lookout for us. And I wanted to help. That's why I was out there. Okay? So don't get too many funny ideas... I'm not that stupid.
no subject
... Alright. I'll take your word for it.
[ Binghe's eyes linger on the injuries. He looks like he's trying to come to a decision. ]
Do you—
[ He folds his arms and looks away. ]
Do you want me to get you something to eat.
no subject
Haha.... wow, who knew you could actually be kind of cute sometimes? [ She's absolutely teasing him, even if she's not inclined to make him go run errands for her at this moment. Instead, she tilts her head, as if considering something herself. ] No thanks. But I am pretty bored staying in here all the time.
[ Folding her good leg carefully so that she can be a bit more presentable, She pats the edge of the bed, raising a brow in curiosity. ]
Do you wanna tell me about Venera? I've been dying to hear about it.
[ It's an olive branch, perhaps one in return to his little offer he made just now. Misa's favor can be fickle and unpredictable, but after going through what she had in Godsblood, she's feeling much more delighted by this sudden show of niceness than she might've been normally. ]
no subject
He perches warily on the bed. ]
If you'd like. Ah, but I wasn't there for all of the most dramatic developments... That cur Estinien ran amok again and I missed it completely.
[ Can you believe how inconsiderate that guy is! ]
crying over him being relieved/disappointed over not getting to give her blood
[ She lets out an overdramatized puff of air, her lips buzzing on the last few seconds of it. Somehow, she's managed to stay mostly uninvolved with all the Innocence mess that started in Venera, and Estinien's connection to it is the same. Though she does remember him having quite a bit to say about the Pleroma before... ]
I guess I was just wondering if you ran into any serious trouble...? You look fine, but, you know, you can never tell. With some of us having super healing and stuff. And you did say you were a demon, or something, right?
he hasn't made his mind up about it all the way 😔
... Half demon. One of my birth parents was a human. But... yes, I heal much more quickly than most humans. So, even though I did fight some of the Pleroma, there isn't anything to worry about.
[ both his ears have grown back, it's fine ]
no subject
[ Demon, half-demon, she's not sure what makes the difference, but it's an interesting tidbit nonetheless. She supposes it doesn't actually matter how much she understands the distinction; the fact that he's a demon at all is still fascinating to grapple with. ]
I always thought demons and half-demons would look.... well, different.
[ different how she doesn't elaborate, but she does keep giving him a once over, as if she's about to randomly, all of the sudden notice horns growing out of his head or an evil looking tail. ]
no subject
[ He looks at her, head tilted slightly. ]
Did demons exist, where you come from?
no subject
[ She says, shrugging once. ]
But there's legends. About beings like "shinigami" — gods of death. [ In the moment, she finds she doesn't mind alluding to their existence - so long as it's under the guise of her pretending not to understand what they were, nor confirming that she ever saw or met one. ] Apparently, they look a lot spookier than you do. Though I don't think I'd find you that scary, even if you had horns and wings or something.
[ Even if he was a "hideous monster," or whatever... she's made friends with all kinds of scary looking beings. ]
no subject
Really? What if I had the tusks of a boar and a tiger's claws? And I was horribly ugly?
no subject
[ There's a pause before she denies it, because she's actually looking up in thought and imagining what he would look like with the described features. No, even features like that don't seem scary, but perhaps she's been desensitized. ]
Misa is tougher to scare off than you think, [ She says this with a note of pride, her chin jutting out just slightly. ] Besides, aren't tiger's claws kind of cute?
no subject
[ He looks surprised, at first, but then sort of bewilderedly, skeptically amused. ]
Has Misa ever fought a tiger?
no subject
[ Paws, claws, what's the difference? She looks endeared even speaking about them. ]
no subject
Some tigers can take off a man's head with those paws, you know? This humble disciple once fought a tiger that had lived so long and devoured so many men it had become an evil spirit. It was very difficult to subdue. I don't think I have ever heard somebody call one 'cute'.
no subject
[ She will not budge from this opinion? In fact, she says this like this should be greatly obvious to him. ]
no subject
[ The way language works here means the Horosian word she uses for 'zoo' isn't incomprehensible to him, but because Binghe is from olden times he can only relate it to the concept of, like, an exotic menagerie kept by an emperor or other fabulously wealthy person. He looks at her in surprise. ]
